The Sloane Coat has been a labor of love. We discovered this beautiful handwoven fabric on a trip to Peru and could not get it out of our minds. We've always wanted to make a wool overcoat type style but in a cotton fabric. Finding this fabric was no small task, so we gave up on the idea. Until we entered a sweater booth in a tradeshow that made beautiful coats out of handwoven cotton. The Sloane is built for West Coast Winters.
Once we tested the durability of the fabric we based this fit off our best selling Oona cardigan but elongated it. We've heard time and time again folks like to have their butt covered. This cardigan is open, sturdy year round piece with deep pockets and an even deeper soul. It is a true work of art and the price does reflect that. We made these in very limited quantities to make them truly special.
Made in family own factory in Peru started 20 years ago, with only two people. Today they are proud to generate work for more than 500 families in the Arequipa region.
